Iran short to vie in US

Iranian short film 'Forouzan' is scheduled to be screened at the Los Angeles Diversity Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Mirabbas Khosravinejad, the flick will represent Iran at the fifth edition of the American festival.

‘Forouzan’ narrates the story of a young woman whose husband has recently passed away. She lives with her two young children in a village, and protects a herd of sheep against the attack of thieves at night.

The flick has so far succeeded to attend the High Peak Independent Film Festival in the UK, the Melbourne City Independent Film Awards (MCIFA) in Australia, and the Pickurflick Indie Film Festival in India.

The annual Los Angeles Diversity Film Festival in Hollywood, California, promotes multicultural themes and artists via the cinematic art form.

The three-day celebration of cinema features independent works in the realms of short and feature length film and span all genres, from gripping emotional dramas to lighthearted feel-good comedies.

The 5th edition of the event is slated for 26-28 July, 2018.
